Pilates Wall for Handstands

Have a pilates practice but interested in getting upside down? Then this class is the perfect place to start!


We begin on the ground with traditional pilates matwork. The focus here is wrist safety and corework. We then begin using the wall for select pilates exercises and for handstand drills. We go back and forth between the mat and the wall- find a similar shape and abdominal connection on the mat and then experiencing that same connection on the wall inverted. We do abdominal matwork in between every wall handstand drill so that the wrists can rest.


Class is designed to be accessible for beginners, but there is a challenge for movers at any level.



There are no handstands in the middle of the room in this class. We always keep at least one foot on the wall.
