Refine your control and build your strength with this weighted workout! Using light ankle weights for both the legs and arms, this class focuses on precision and form to create an intentional practice. As we move through familiar pilates exercises, we use the weights to increase our awareness - helping us truly feel how our core connects to each movement. As class progresses, the movements become more complicated, and the weights start to feel heavier as we move closer to full muscle fatigue! A moderately paced yet challenging workout, this detail oriented practice will help you find control and refinement in your movements.
I use 1 pound weights in this class, but anything between 1-3 pounds will work well! This class would also be lovely without any added weight at all! If you only have dumbbells and don't ankle weights, just use the weights during the moments we have the weight on our wrists (we switch back and forth a few times through class).
